This photo was chosen Runner-Up in the Chesapeake Chapter of the U.S. Lighthouse Society's 2007 photo contest.

It was also a POTD on the Scenic USA website on March 12, 2008.

I donated a copy of this photo to the staff of the life saving station during July 2008 and they have indicated to me that it will be used by them in their promotions sometime in the near future.
