Photos in this gallery were taken during our July 2013 return visit to "Wild and Wonderful" West Virginia. For much of the trip, we were joined by "old" friend Amanda Haddox...and "new" friends Ron Gaskins and Bill Evans...and thanks to them, we were able to visit a wide variety of the scenic wonders of this beautiful part of the state. Thanks, Amanda, Ron and Bill...we very much appreciate your hospitality.
Among the places we visited and photographed were Cedar Lake in Ripley, the new lighthouse at Summersville Lake (complete with a sunset cruise on the lake), the Glade Creek Grist Mill at Babcock State Park, the New River gorge/bridge, the infamous Mystery Hole in Ansted, the Beckley Exhibition Coal Mine and Museum, the Tamarack arts and crafts complex in Beckley, and the Kirlwood Winery in Summersville. It was a wonderful trip...and we hope to make a return soon. I hope you enjoy the photos included here...I certainly enjoyed taking them!

Guestbook for West Virginia: 2013

Fun review of our escapades together. Lot's of memories there, and it appears I need to learn to sit up a bit straighter when you are around with a camera. Lot's of good pictures and ideas for the next time I get to go. We had a lot of fun, say Hi to Monnie.

Great photos from West (By God) Virginia! Loved all the shots of the mountains, rivers and even the coal mine. Reminds me of my old mountain home!
