The tall ship Madeline is a replica of the original two-masted schooner Madeline which was built in Fairport Harbor, Ohio in 1845. Between 1985 and 1990, 165 volunteers spent more than 40,000 hours building the 92 foot long ship. Most of the years of service of the original Madeline were on the Great Lakes...and at present her home port is with the Maritime Heritage Alliance in Traverse City, Michigan. On the weekend of July 10th -12th, she visited Fairport Harbor to be a part of a summer festival...and so did we. Photos were taken on Friday, July 10th...!
