The Smolen-Gulf Covered Bridge carries the realigned State Road (County Road 25) across the Ashtabula River. At 613 feet, it is the longest covered bridge in the United States and the 4th longest covered bridge in the world. It was designed in 1995 by John Smolen, a former Ashtabula County Engineer.
