Mill Creek Park, located on the west side of Youngstown, Ohio, is the second largest metropolitan park in the United States. It was founded by Youngstown attorney Volney Rogers in 1891 and was officially opened in 1893. It contains approximately 2,600 acres, twenty miles of roads, fifteen miles of hiking trails, and three lakes as well as a variety of bridges, ponds, streams, gardens, waterfalls and two 18-hole golf courses.
